Insight (n): an understanding of the true nature of something

Incite (v): to cause (an angry, harmful, or violent action or feeling)

This workshop is for anyone who’s thought a better world is possible but wasn’t quite sure what that tangibly meant. Utilizing the artistic principle of value, the scale of light to dark of a color, we’ll visually represent the ethical values defined by the systems at play in our physical environment.

We’ll lean into the abstract and the absurd to put images to impact & make tangible the dreams we hold for our environments.

Through an artistic process of mark making, coloring & collage we’ll recreate the everyday in service of liberation by reimagining and applying artistic value to our lived experience. At the end of our time together after allowing ourselves to visualize the circumstances at hand and the values we dream of, we can more readily bring our dreams into reality.
